Dance and Gymnastics

Another year of activities has begun! Kira has decided to do Performing Team Dance and Gymnastics this year instead of singing and tumbling.

Dance has already been a shock to her system as it is a lot more demanding and requires her to pay better attention. She is working very hard though and doing awesome.

 

 

Kira also gets to have Teacher Jenny as her teacher! Kira is loving her and Teacher Sierra!

 

This year Kira is doing Gymnastics instead of just tumbling! She was not so sure about it at first but has definitely warmed up to it and is loving it! She gets to learn trick on the bars and to walk and gain balance on the beam. She is still practicing her cartwheels, handstands and somersaults and getting better at those as well!

Her teacher Jill is incredibly patient and kind. She has really given Kira the courage to do the harder tricks.

1st day of 1st Grade!

Can't beleive my baby is already in 1st grade! She is so excited! She started the Dual Language Emersion program this year where she gets to learn spanish.

Kira gets to have two teachers this year... Maestra Reeder her spanish teacher and

Mrs. Marchant her English teacher!

She still misses her Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Hadfield, but is super excited to be a year older and learning so much!

Day at the Pool!

Getting to spend time at the is a rarity! We finally were able to make it one Sunday afternoon! It was such a blast. Tia, Aunt Jess, Uncle Kevin, Clark, Aunt Elora, and Marlee were all able to join us! Kira is becoming quite the good swimmer! She also was super brave and went down the twisty slide with Daddy Roger a couple of times!

24th of July Staycation!

Roger really likes to camp, but we never seem to have the opportunity or time to do so. So for the 24th we went up to Cub River to Grandma and Grandpa B's land and camped out there! Kira really liked it. We did a little bit of hiking around, made a campfire, ate smores and dutch oven dinners.

The next morning we went to the "Pioneer Day Parade" which was a little strange as it kept starting and then having really large breaks in between floats. Kira got a bunch of candy and chose to get a snowcone with her own money at the booths.

Family Hiking!

So many many weeks ago now, Roger had an afternoon off. So we decided to head up Logan Canyon and go hiking. It was a really great time. We climbed up pretty high. Kira did an awesome job! While she did ride on her dad's shoulders a lot she walked a lot too!
It was a really awesome way to spend the afternoon!
