Kira's New PreSchool!

Kira was lucky enough to be accepted into the Utah State University Pre-School Progam! I was super excited. I signed her up when she was born, but it took three years until she was accepted. Hopefully she will be able to go again next year.

This School is a little bit different in that they come to the car and pick up each child. They have free play in the morning for a couple of hours then have a large group activity then small group activities that rotate each day of the week.  This week was all about camping, bugs, and the outdoors.

There is a small room in which parents can watch but not be seen by the kids. I like that I have the option to come watch without bothering Kira or the other Kids. I also get to come and participate 2 times a year as well!  Thank you to all the Teachers for such a fun program!

No Leprechauns This Year!

Those Pesky Leprechauns! We just can't seem to catch one!  Kira and Roger made a trail of coins to lead them to our trap, but still no leprechauns! We will have to be extra sneaky next year!

They did however make a big mess of our house and left treat all over! Kira wasn't to sad we didn't catch the leprechaun as long as we got threats. Later that day they turned our mashed potatoes at dinner green too!

Until next year, Mr. Leprechaun! We are sure to get you then!

To Wendy, Makenna, and Chase!

Here is a post dedicated to my favorite little family! Kira and I get so excited to spend a day with Wendy, Makenna, and Chase! Kira was asking about it all week, and I was so excited to talk to an adult other than people I'm trying to sell blinds to, we were both so relieved when Friday finally arrived.

We got up early and Kira didn't put a single fuss about getting dressed, having breakfast, or getting her hair done! We were out the door on time and even a little bit early! Kira talked about going to see Makenna the whole way there and kept asking "Are we there yet?" to the point of madness!

Our day is nothing extra special or out of the ordinary, but exactly what we need! We spent several hours at the museum and then headed to the park for lunch. Kira and Makenna play so well together that Wendy and I don't have to worry about fighting, or tantrums. Chase is such a cutie, he was so easy going and for being so small and probably exhausted after the long morning he was so good and calm.

The girls were inseparable pretty much the whole morning!

Thank You!
To such great friends!
Kira and I love you all and can't wait for the next adventure!

Happy Birthday Papa!

Papa is getting older and once again we all ended up at Angie's for breakfast! It was really yummy! Then later that night we had dinner at home! My dad did have to make his own birthday dinner, but I think he was much happier eating something he knows he likes.

Cass made my dad a Cake-ish! We are not sure what all that was, but it tasted good all the same!
Happy Birthday!

Dancing and Dressing Up!

Kira has discovered the fun of dressing up! She has taken to putting on "princess dresses" every night and dancing in the living room!  She has a unique style that is all her own! Glad we can all be a part of it!

Tooth Fairy!

Kira got to have a visit from the Tooth Fairy! I know it's a little early but she is just lucky!

A little over a year ago Kira fell and broke one of her teeth! I took her to the dentist then and he assured me it would continue to grow and she would be fine! Which she was and the year  passed fairly uneventfully. A couple of months ago we noticed a sore in Kira's mouth right above the tooth that broke. Another visit to the dentist and we learn that the tooth has to come out. The root was damaged when she fell causing the root to die and creating an abscess. So the tooth had to come out so the gum could heal and the new tooth could form correctly.
Before we went to the Dentist!

It was a not so fun morning, as Kira sat on Mom's lap to not get one but two shots and then her tooth pulled. It was a little traumatizing to say the least. She did get icecream and by the time she went to singing we were all better!

So that night we put Kira's tooth in it's very own tooth shaped box under her pillow so the Tooth Fairy could find it.

The next morning was such a surprise! Kira's Tooth Fairy left her $2 in quarters and a bag of Marshmallows! She might have been out of Apples, but the Marshmallow substitute was a big hit!

My cute little Toothless girl! Hopefully this tooth will come back by the time you turn 6!
