Mom is Old!

I am so lucky! I had such a wonderful birthday that seemed to last all week! First we went out to dinner on Wednesday at the Huhot! I love mongolian it was super yummy. Then we went to lunch and had a lazy day on Friday (my actual birthday)! Roger planned a little BBQ on Saturday evening and got me a new table and chairs set! My backyard is starting to look so great! Then Sunday my dad made Roast with Cheesy Potatoes and Broccoli one of my favorite dinners! Not to mention the great Ice-cream Cake! I am so grateful for all the wonderful gifts... a vase from my sister, pillows and toe nail stickers from my mom, a itunes gift card from Kira, and a really cool polymer clay art piece from Roger! SPOILED oh yes! There is one thing that hasn't changed no matter how OLD I get!

Happy Father's Day!

We had two fathers to celebrate this year, and while Roger is not officially Kira's Dad he has stepped into the role graciously. We went to breakfast and it was really good as always... although we didn't have enough room on our table for all the plates! We then came home and had a simple gift giving before Kira went to spend the rest of the day with Andy.
Kira colored a new mug for Roger, and had Gummy write Dad Roger on the bottom! (Notice the Tinkerbell Bag and Pink Paper that Kira picked) Roger also got a new Grill!
Papa got a whole bunch of gifts. Some Bolivian cooking supplies, Bolivian Artwork, and a New-ish TV. Roger gave his TV to my parents as he is never home to use it himself. Overall I think everyone had a great day!

Kira, Papa and Daddy Roger!

Swimming!

Kira's first day of swim lessons was quite the event.  It was a busy morning and nobody was ready for Monday! We made it to swimming just on time and found her cute teacher McKinlee and the other kids in her class. She has improved so much from last year, she happily hopped into the water and practiced her arms and going under the water. She is always amazing me with how big she is getting!

Guess we now need to be heading to the pool so she can practice all her new skills!

Pineapple Theif!

Kira was being so sweet the other night while we were out to dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe. She was snuggling up to Roger and giving him big hugs! BUT while she was giving him a hug she looked up and what should catch her eye... The Pineapple on Roger's Hawaiian Pizza! With a glint in her eye she kept giving Roger loves if only to steel the food off his plate!

Needless to say Roger happily ate a Pineapple-less Pizza!

Gymnastics!

Just because things have tapered off for me... Does not mean they have for Kira. She is still as busy as ever! Now trying Gymnastics! I am taking Kira to Hight Point Gymnastics. They have been  really easy to work with, and by sheer luck one of Kira's teachers was a dance student of mine. I am very confident Kira will learn a lot this summer!

There seems to be a lot of kids for the two teachers to wrangle each day! They got to jump on the trampolines, walk on the little balance beams, roll down the wedges, and even ride the zip line! Kira immediately wanted to do it again after her first class!

T-Ball Chaos!

Chaos! That is the best word to describe T-Ball! Kira has a great time, but knows nothing of what she is supposed to do... for that matter neither do any of the other kids! They look like they are having a great time though! There are just as many parents on the field helping the kids as kids on the team! Andy, Roger and I take turns helping Kira know what she is supposed to do!

We have had two games now and they have improved significantly already! They understand they are supposed to run and get the ball after it is hit, and that they need to run after they hit the ball off the Tee! What they do with the ball after they get it and where to run to are still mysteries but that is an improvement!

Can't wait to see how much they improve by the end!
