Happy Birthday Daddy Roger!

Roger's Birthday was this weekend! To celebrate we head down to SLC to go to various parks down there. This year we went to the Living Planet Aquarium, spent the night in a hotel and then to Hogle Zoo! We had such a blast at both places.

Kira calls the Aquarium the Water Zoo! They have so many fun animals and fish to look at. Kira liked crawling through the tunnels and crossing the rope bridge, although Roger had to hold her hands the whole time across. She got a new sharks tooth necklace and shirt.
Off to the Zoo the next morning, which was still a bit cloudy and wet. Even though it was a little chilly it was obviously the best time to see the animals in action. Usually it is so hot out the animals are taking naps under their canopies or just sitting in one spot, because it was cool enough and we came at a time when the Zoo Keepers were feeding the animals they all seemed to be out and about.
The little baby elephant has gotten really big in the last year!

Look how my baby has grown in the last year!
We woke the Gorilla up from his nap and he was not pleased. He gave us a "I will squash you like a bug" look then rolled over and ignored us.

I have never seen the tigers so active before! They are a lot bigger up right than laying down. I don't think you get the full effect until they are up looking for something to eat!

Unfortunately because of Quarantine delays the New African Savannah part of the zoo wasn't opened yet. Even so we were able to see over the fence into the Lion Pen, which were up and moving. Bubba said the She-Lions were much more ferocious and scary than the males. They were impressive to see so I can't imagine what the girls are like.
Kira ofcourse wanted to ride the Carousel! Bubba takes such good care of us that Kira rode it over and over!
Kira had to get pictures with everything! Roger and I were happy to oblige her and took a zillion pictures through out the day!

Unfortunately after getting herself into this position she promptly fell of the back, poor thing!
Thanks Uncle Bubba for helping with our vacation! As always it was great!
After we got home from our trip we all took a nap and then headed to Gummy and Papa's for Dinner which were all of Roger's favorites! Happy Birthday to the sweetest Husband and Dad, Kira and I could ask for! We love you!

All Wet!

It truly could not have been worse weather for us to try and see the baby animals. We did it anyways and it was fun even if it was a little cold and VERY wet! Roger, Kira, Cass and I all got bundled up and tromped through the mud. It was fun to hold the baby ducks and chicks, because they wanted to cuddle, cause it was cold outside.

Kira loved having her own umbrella to walk around with. We looked at all the animals and showed Daddy Roger what baby animal days is all about.

I am definitely a stubborn person and once I get an idea in my head, I really hate deviating from it. So Thanks to my sister and husband for humoring me and coming to see the animals in the rain.

End of Pre-School!

Kira's very last day of pre-school was April 25th! Can't beleive its over. It seems to be the end of an era, next year she will be off to Kindergarten! Wow, I really can't believe she will be a Kindergartener next year.

Kira and I were both very lucky in that one of Kira's friends was going to the same pre-school and we were able to carpool. Picking Maisie up for the last time.
Kira loved going to pre-school. I hope she loves going to Kindergarten just as much!

Camille was the Head Teacher at the USU Lab Pre-School and she was an amazing teacher. She will be missed by all. I can't thank the school enough for all the things Kira learned through out the years there.

Easter

Kira had a great Easter! She started of the Weekend with an Easter Egg Dying Party (mom forgot to take pictures) with Ella, Colin, Eve, Theron, Maisie, and Ruby! All the Kids had a blast, but they mostly wanted to jump on the tramp, so the egg dying went really fast.

She then got to see the Easter Bunny at Lee's Marketplace! This is a lot nicer looking Easter Bunny than all the ones I was seeing online. After those pics I was afraid to see the Easter Bunny, but he turned out to be really nice!
Kira was then spoiled rotten by him. She got Big Blocks, Face Tattoos, new Clothes, Cinderella Dress-ups, and lots of Candy. We then headed to Gummy and Papa's House for Breakfast and the traditional Gummy Scavenger Hunt! She used to do them for Cass and I when we were kids. That sneaky Easter Bunny also left a whole bunch of eggs out in the yard to found.

Happy Easter Everyone!
