Valentines Week

Wow! Who knew Valentines was so much work when you are only 5! Kira started off her week long event with pictures. Stacey took these cute pics of Kira and gave each family member one to keep.

Kira and I then made all her Valentines for her friends! We cut out Snowflakes, with the help of Tia and then taped them to "Frozen" themed valentines with tattoos. I think Tia and I had more fun cutting out the snowflakes than Kira did, but we each made some really neat ones!

Kira then got to dress-up for the Valentines Tea, it was the Tuesday before Valentines! She got a new fancy blue dress she bought herself and fur coat. She was feeling like a movie star!

The next day on Wednesday she got to hand out treats at school! They even decorated a bag to carry their treats in.

But the week wasn't over yet! She got to have a Pajama Party at Dance. She has such a cute little class. They had a blast playing games and sharing treats!

Kira then got to spend the weekend with her dad, where she got more presents and came home to have Daddy Roger and Me spoil her some more! She sure is a lucky little girl. She is so sweet, I know why she LOVED by all who know her!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY KIRA!

Papa's B-day

My Dad turned 60! This years birthday was a big event! It was a really great day for everyone involved! We decided to have a family party! My dad's family down in Salt Lake came up and we ate some yummy food, cooked by my sister who has become quite the good chef! (She did have a really good teacher!)
We played some games before they came! My dad's favorite game Shanghai!
We handed out presents! He got a picture from his sister, but mostly gift cards to I-tunes to get more books!

It was a really great day! I am so glad that we could all spend it with Family!

Snowplow Sam

So out of the blue during the Christmas Break Kira asks me if she can take Ice Skating Lessons. I said that I didn't know but I would look into it and see if there was a class. Sure enough there was, so I told Kira that if she wanted to we could do Ice Skating Lessons as soon as she goes back to school.
Nothing was said about it again.

Until her first week back to school in January, on a Thursday (school started on Monday).

She then says "Mom, Guess What?!"

 I said "What?"

"School started again, you know what that means!"

I honestly had no clue and said "Um, you get to see your friends!"

In her ever so sensitive and understanding way she declared "Duuuuuh!!! I get to go to Ice Skating Lessons!"

I of course had made no effort to sign her up because she had not mentioned it again since we discussed it in December. I told Kira I had not signed her up and she was devastated! Hysterical sobs all the way to school. Thankfully I called up the place and asked to sign her up (late) the lady was very nice and allowed us to join.

They had us bring a helmet in case they fell and because I really do have a big baby for a daughter! (love her but...) After the first lesson she was pretty much done! She didn't like falling. I almost had a come apart when she said she didn't want to go anymore, since I had to go through a great deal of hastle to sign her up in the first place. So she had to go the rest of the time, after the first session then she could quit. She made it through and passed off all her levels in learning to skate and I think overall liked it. Of course by the end not only did we have to have our helmet but our elbow, knee and hand guards!

Thanks Cass for taking her every week!
