24th of July

As we have the past several years I spent most of my day at Willow Park. We have a booth there, so we hang out there enjoying the activities and food.

There were so many fun things for Kira to do that she ended up staying with me ALL day!  First we had to get our face painted. She remembered the one she got last year and had to have the exact same one!
Then she watched a movie on the Pad while she waited for the Parade to begin.

Went and got more Candy from the Candy Cannon!
Got her Hair colored! BLUE ofcourse!
 Scratched out a pretty Butterfly.
 Making a beautiful crown...

 and Necklace!
She then decided that Mom needed some help selling so she became a very good sales person.
Her Tia got her a lot of glow sticks that she had a blast putting together!
Waiting for the Fireworks to Start!
Just couldn't handle all the fun and immediately fell asleep after the fireworks. Too bad we still had to clean up the booth, but it was great day spent with the family!

First Day of Pre-Kindergarten!

My little girl is all grown up! She went to her first day of Kindergarten on July 21st, 2014! Well it's Pre-Kindergarten but that made no difference to her or to me! She was supper excited to get a brand new outfit and her hair done the night before. That morning we were ready to go by 8:20! School doesn't start until 9:00!

She will be attending this program for 4 weeks. It helps her to be better prepared for Kindergarten. We have been practicing her letters and numbers as well as doing Homework everyday!

I know she is my first child, by how excited I am to do Homework with her. I always appreciated how my mother helped me with my homework so I am excited to help Kira with hers.

Relay for Life

Relay for life was such a fun experience this year. I have not been as involved in such a great cause as I would have liked. Kira was able to dance that morning at their stage and My mom and I made luminaries and played bunco the night before there. Natalie and Kylie were amazing setting everything up for us. We had such a great time playing and look forward to doing the same thing next year.

Friend Reunion!

I was so lucky in school! I was able to make some amazing lifelong friends!
These ladies have been my friends longer than they haven't. Now with our large brood of kids and very busy lives we aren't able to get together as often as I am sure we would all like! One of my favorite parts about summer is our reunion. I love catching up with their lives and families. They have a way of making me smile and laugh even through the most difficult of times.
I have always known that they are amazing women and friends, but to witness how wonderful of mothers they have become is a true privilage!

We rented a bounce house like we did last year and the kids loved it. They seem to just be able to have great time doing whatever though!

In a crazy turn of events, We broke my mother's table. The glass top suddenly shattered as we were talking. You can see my dad and Cass picking up all the glass behind these two adorable youngsters.

I had no idea Kira's little playhouse could hold so many children! There are 6! It's difficult to see Henry's head in the corner!

They sure loved the Bounce House!
