Roger, Kira and I headed off for a couple of days during Spring Break!
We stopped at the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point. Kira really liked looking at all the bones, but especially all exhibits in which she got to touch!
It is truly awe inspiring to see how big those animals were!
Kira standing underneath a sloth! Who knew they got to be that big! I wouldn't want to meet that thing no matter how slow it was!
We then continued on and spent that night in Nephi. The next morning we got up and head to Great Basin National Park! Which is on the Nevada Border in the middle of Nowhere! The closest town was Delta and it was an hour and half a way!
We got to tour the Lehman Caves! Which had a whole bunch of Stalactites and Stalagmites! According to our guide a centimeter of growth takes a hundred years! Considering how big some were they must have take a really long time to grow!
Kira was scared at first but soon began to like it. Especially because she got to hold Daddy Roger's Hat and Phone!
Kira was the only kid on our tour and she did so great! The Ranger let her wear his hat and gave her a Junior Ranger Pin. She was feeling really special!
After the Caves we camped in the park and went on a couple of hikes.
We headed home the next morning, but took our time and stopped along the way. Can't wait for the next family trip!
